SALVATIONS The most anticipated and longed for salvation is that of Pai, the mother of Pat and wife of Ratchai. 3/4 of this family is now in the Kingdom! Maiyai Gao, an older woman who employs many people (including Jom and previously Ratchai) in her broom selling business started through our micro-enterprise program, is also taking steps of faith, joining us every week and affirming she believes, testifying to a new peace in her life, and even becoming one of our main song leaders when we do the "malaam" songs. Adilek, or Lek, the visiting nephew of Pai and Ratchai, "accepted" Christ last night. He still says he's 50-50, but he's already eagerly read discipleship materials and asked me for a further explanation of the gospel and what does it mean to have a relationship with God and how does one pray and how can he start a relationship with God, etc. So I prayed with him to receive Christ last night and he was excited and eager to share about Christ with others. He's already reading the Bible and other Christian literature and studied two discipleship lessons with me. He's agreed to have a quiet time reading the Bible and praying each day and asked me to be his sponsor, holding him accountable to this. If this is his "50-50", I'm excited to see what his 100% will be. Maybe I wish all our other new believers would be "50-50"! Dave von Stroh, Bangkok |
